Services FAQ

Common questions about our neurological services

What neurological conditions do you treat?

We provide comprehensive care for a wide range of neurological conditions including epilepsy and seizures, migraines and headaches, stroke and TIA, Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, motor neuron disease, peripheral neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disorders. Our team has subspecialty expertise in neurophysiology and advanced diagnostic testing.

What diagnostic tests are available at your clinic?

We offer advanced neurophysiology testing on-site including Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Electromyography (EMG), Repetitive Nerve Stimulation (RNS), and Single Fibre EMG. We also coordinate EEG monitoring, MRI, CT scans, and other imaging through partner facilities. These tests help accurately diagnose conditions affecting nerves, muscles, and the brain.

Do you offer Botox injections for neurological conditions?

Yes, our neurologists are experienced in administering Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for various neurological conditions including chronic migraine, cervical dystonia (neck muscle spasms), blepharospasm (eyelid twitching), hemifacial spasm, and bruxism (teeth grinding). These treatments are performed in our clinic.

How long is the wait time to see a neurologist?

Wait times vary depending on the urgency of your condition. Urgent cases such as first seizures, suspected stroke or TIA, or rapidly progressive symptoms are prioritised and can often be seen within days. For routine appointments, wait times are typically 2-4 weeks. Please mention any urgent concerns when booking.

Do you offer telehealth consultations?

Yes, we offer telehealth consultations for appropriate cases, particularly for follow-up appointments and patients in regional areas. However, initial consultations and appointments requiring physical examination or diagnostic testing typically need to be in-person. Ask our reception team about telehealth options when booking.

What should I do if I have a neurological emergency?

For medical emergencies such as suspected stroke (remember FAST: Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 000), prolonged seizures (longer than 5 minutes), or sudden severe symptoms, call 000 immediately and go to your nearest emergency department. Our clinic provides outpatient specialist care, not emergency services.
